Damian Connolly

I'm the Founder and MD of of SAKURA, an accountancy practice that operates in London and Dublin which primarily provides an outsourced bookkeeping and whole Finance team solution to growing SMEs.

Separately I spend most of my time acting as a Fractional CFO to £1.0m/€1.0m businesses, typically resolving cashflow, system and financial analysis challenges or acting as the lead on business projects e.g. overseas expansions, system implementations, pricing reviews etc.

Additionally I help SME business owners of €1.0m to €10.0m businesses to plan well ahead of time for the future sale or an exit of their business, so that they can get a 'life changing' sum of money from the years of building this key asset.

To date, I have worked with more than 50 SME clients, helping them to improve business profitability, ‘free up’ cashflow, increase resilience and mitigate business risks, while supporting faster and more effective decisions that drive consistent growth.

I have also been a guest on the Bulletproof Entrepreneur, IGNITE conversations and Founders Voyage business podcasts, contributed a short anecdote to the book Start for Success – The Entrepreneurs guide to Startups, and also articles to publications including ACCA Accounting & Business, Financial Accountant, EDGE magazine, AAT Online and VICE online.
