Hi, I’m Matt Smith, a Creative Director who helps businesses define, shape, and sharpen their creative.

I work with ambitious brands to uncover what makes them distinctive and bring that to life through purposeful, story-driven design. Whether it’s a rebrand, a campaign identity, or strategic design leadership, I focus on delivering creative that defines the narrative, drives clarity, engagement, and results. And when I’m not working with organisations or brands, I mentor typography students at The University of Reading – helping them with early careers development.

Over the last 30 years, I’ve led branding and design programmes for fast-moving companies, global organisations, and non-profits – building brands, leading creative teams, and helping clients cut through with work that’s as considered as it is effective.

I understand how to align creativity with business goals, working closely with marketing leaders, founders, and in-house teams to deliver design that not only looks good – but works hard.
